Highly respected manufacturing plant in the greater Morristown, TN area has immediate need for a Plant Controller. This plant has international ties and needs a Controller to prepare financial statements and handle the cash management functions. Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS is important.    The Plant Controller will prepare cash flow forecasts, maintain bank relationships, and manage foreign currency. Will also be heavily involved in cost controlling activities.    This operation is well-run with a stable customer base. The Plant Controller will manage the Accounting and Finance team.    Preferred candidates will have a BS in Accounting or Finance, or an MBA, along with at least 5 years accounting experience in manufacturing. SAP skills will be a plus.   Relocation assistance is NOT available for this role at this time.

Primary Purpose of Position   Provide support and data analysis to Area Controller, Plant Managers, and Corporate finance for accurate financial reporting and continuous plant improvement initiatives.   Essential Functions   Compile and analyze financial data and prepare reports for distribution to management. Actively participate in monthly accounting close and provide support to plants as part of the month-end process. Participate in the preparation of operational budgets, forecasts, and other financial analysis. Monitor and maintain weekly tracking of plant spend. Assist with approval of AP invoices and work with Corporate and plant buyers to resolve issues. Originate property, plant, and equipment records, coordinate periodic fixed asset physical inventories and assist with analysis of AFE spending activities.
