Job Description

Responsible for execution of the category management process to leverage Magellan’s third party spend for strategic categories and implementing efficient buying channels in support thereof.  Manages or performs work associated with analyzing spend patterns and market intelligence for goods and service spend with vendors; leading cross-functional teams in developing strategy and sourcing plan for spend categories.  Executes the Request for Proposal (RFP) processes including:  scope and requirements gathering, scorecard development, drafting RFP, coordinating the vendor responses to the RFP, preparing and facilitating vendor demonstrations and recommendation process.   Facilitates the execution of contracts including:  negotiating key commercial terms including pricing and service level agreements for input to the contract. Performs vendor relationship management which includes:  measuring vendor performance to agreed service levels, contract terms, and facilitating business reviews with preferred vendors and stakeholders. Develop and maintain a positive professional relationship with vendors and stakeholders.   Implement and maintains Procure-to-Pay (P2P) system catalogs, punchouts and standardized ordering for strategic categories in alignment with established roadmap. Perform work associated with P2P governance including:  analytics for P2P policy and process and compliance performance and audits as appropriate.
