Job Description

Ecolab, the global leader in premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets is seeking Logistics Leads for our brand-new warehouse facility opening in McDonough, GA! This role is responsible for working with departmental leaders to develop and implement actions to meet plant goals and deliverables. This position will coordinate processes, equipment, and people to maintain continuous flow of product and services.

What You Will Do:

  • Establish standard work and assist in training
  • Coordinate equipment and labor to minimize downtime
  • May back-up forklift operators or other positions as needed
  • Participate in developing, deploying, and using continuous improvement systems
  • Identify safety hazards through safety audits and initiatives and recommends corrective actions
  • Communicate maintenance needs, quality issues or other situations that impact safety, quality, or productivity to supervisor in partnership with the Quality team
  • Continuously identifies opportunities for system and process waste elimination
  • Ensure constant communication with management on daily activities and challenges
  • Participate in selecting and developing new hires
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean and maintained
  • Successfully complete classroom and on-the-job training  
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Details:

  • Plant location: McDonough, GA
  • Work week and shift:
  • 1st shift M-F (7 am – 3 pm)
  • 2nd shift M-F (3 pm – 11 pm)
  • 3rd shift M-F (11 pm – 7 am)
  • Compensation: $20.29 / hour + $.0.40 / hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years previous plant experience in a related field 
  • Basic computer skills
  • No immigration sponsorship offered for this role

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TPM knowledge and experience
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma systems 
  • Professional experience coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous forklift operating experience
