Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications: Inventory Specialist Job Description The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Inventory and operations team.  This may include but not limited to; the processing of all vendor receipts, maintaining adequate inventory levels of core items in Stock Room and reconciling inventory discrepancies.  The Inventory Specialist is also responsible for ensuring that all lab and vendor purchase orders are received in, and, promptly closed out upon receipt of the stock, either from vendor or by the sister labs.  During month end close or on an ad hoc basis, the Inventory Specialist conducts inventory counts in the Stock Room and Molecular Laboratory while removing expired items from the inventory.
